I successfully moved from Win 7 (RC) to Win 7 (RTM) with only an acceptable number of problems. Where in Windows.old will I find my desktop shortcuts file?

Thanks Jen - I guess I lost the Desktop folder. I had followed the chain you suggested, but no joy. After my user name, there was only App Dat > Local > Microsoft > nternet Explorer > Recovery > High > Acrive & Laast Active. None of the folders contained anything other than the next folder in the chanin. The lst two folders contained long hexadecimal in braces named DAT files.
Sighhhhhhhhhh! I'll re-find them one by one in the coming weeks. |

Sorry for the finger checks. I'm visually impaired and sometimes get careless.
